A Little More About Susan Williams
Susan Williams, daughter of resident Marjorie Fleming, is a resident of Columbia, Missouri. She has spent the last few years talking with her mother, Marjorie, about moving to Columbia to be closer to her and her family. Marjorie had lived in the Kansas City area, in her own home, for close to 30 years. After much discussion, it was decided that Marjorie should relocate and the search for the perfect senior independent living home began.
A Place to Call Home
My mother lives here at The Village of Bedford Walk. And she just liked the people everyone was very friendly and very nice. It just really fit her need. She really felt like this is the place she wanted to come.
Chapter 2: Feels Like Family
The staff here is wonderful and that is what my mother comments on all the time to me. My mother tells me all the time, everyone is so nice, everyone is so friendly and it feels like family here.
Chapter 3: A New Beginning
I really see my mom getting out and having a lot of fun here and I think that has been one of the greatest things about her being here is watching her be involved because it used to be when she was at home she gets to the point she couldn’t drive and she just wasn’t getting out and interacting with people much. And now she gets a lot of great interaction.
Chapter 4: Still in Charge
The empowerment I think she feels living here at The Village of Bedford Walk is that she is still in charge of her days and she really does still have a lot of Independence here.
