Executive Director Daniel Chavez joined The Village of Bedford Walk team in 2021 and brought with him over 15 years of experience in the realty and property management industries.
Daniel graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science in economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Latin American studies. He then continued on to receive a Master of Arts in teaching from the University of Southern California and a Master of Business Administration from Bushnell University in Eugene, Oregon.
Before joining The Village of Bedford Walk, Daniel was a regional director and general manager for multiple properties throughout Oregon, Arizona and the East Coast. He was also a licensed broker in the state of Oregon through the National Association of Realtors, Oregon Association of Realtors and Eugene Association of Realtors for 15 years.
In addition to his workplace accomplishments, Daniel has been a member of many organizations, including the Community Alliance for Healthy Minds for Lane Community College and the Latino Business Network. He also holds the following certifications: Certificate in Hotel Ownership, Certification in Hotel Industry Analytics and Marriott sales coach and trainer certifications.
Daniel believes that The Village of Bedford Walk is a valuable contribution to the Columbia community because it provides a home that offers a great place to congregate where everyone considers themselves family.
Marketing & Leasing Specialist

As the marketing and leasing specialist for The Village of Bedford Walk, Mason Neff is responsible for leasing the community and promoting the community through advertising and local community involvement efforts.
Before joining The Village of Bedford Walk, Mason was a local sales manager for a cross-media advertising solutions company, and he also spent five years as an on-air radio personality for several local radio stations. Mason was also a member of the Columbia Chamber of Commerce’s board of directors from 2018 to 2019 and was nominated for the Emerging Professionals in Columbia award.
Mason has lived in Columbia since he was five years old and has been a part of The Village of Bedford Walk team since 2019. He thoroughly enjoys talking to the residents every day and showing off the beautiful community. Mason believes that The Village of Bedford walk is a great way to “upsize your life” by keeping residents engaged through activities, social events and many wellness and fitness classes.
Life Enrichment Director

As the life enrichment director, Lisa Coday is the face that welcomes all to The Village of Bedford Walk. Ensuring our residents enjoy a vibrant lifestyle is at the heart of what she does. Lisa is happy to make recommendations on what is happening around town, make dinner reservations, secure tickets to events or create a private dining experience for friends and family. Let her take care of the details so you can live life your way!

Karen Hayes brought many years of interior design experience with her when she became the move-in specialist at The Village of Bedford Walk. As the move-in specialist, Karen assists with the transition to the retirement living community, often by visiting a future resident’s current home and helping them evaluate how their furniture might best be arranged in their new home. She provides floor plans and multiple furniture layouts for potential residents to choose from. She then ensures that residents feel comfortable and that their new luxury senior living homes fit their unique style.
Before joining the team at The Village of Bedford Walk, Karen was a Manager at Columbia Performing Arts Centre and a Co-Owner of CMD LLC where she did home staging and interior design. In her free time, Karen volunteers as a Board Member of True North Columbia and enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters and grandchildren.

Rick Gray is a jack of all trades as the maintenance director for The Village of Bedford Walk. He discovered carpentry in high school. As a trainee, Rick gained new residential construction experience. After working as a district manager for Wendy’s in Springfield for 10 years, he moved back to Mexico, Missouri, and founded Rick’s Construction and Flooring, which is still in operation today. In his free time, he enjoys going to estate sales, camping, slow rides on a pontoon and wood working projects.
As part of The Village of Bedford Walk’s concierge team, Trey helps create a vibrant, carefree life for residents.
