A Little More About Rick Gray
Rick Gray is a jack of all trades as the maintenance director for The Village of Bedford Walk. He discovered carpentry in high school. As a trainee, Rick gained new residential construction experience. After working as a district manager for Wendy’s in Springfield for 10 years, he moved back to Mexico, Missouri, and founded Rick’s Construction and Flooring, which is still in operation today. In his free time, he enjoys going to estate sales, camping, slow rides on a pontoon and wood working projects.

It’s a Family Thing
This place is definitely like a extended family for everybody and everybody has said that, they said this is home. This is home for everybody. It’s a family thing. I mean everybody looks out for everybody here. You know we see somebody who needs a hand you jump in you help. I actually I’ve actually probably when I retire I may move in, I don’t know.

This place is definitely like a extended family for everybody and everybody has said that. We go to different events, we’ve taken them to MU games constantly. I love doing that with them. We have our Coffee Catch Up and this and that. So every now and I get to sit in on that and visit with the residents. I mean everybody looks out for everybody here, you know, when you see somebody who needs a hand you jump in and you help.

This is a unique piece of property; I mean the residents are just outstanding. We got a very good community here and it’s just growing and growing. And it’s a very pleasant place to work. I get a lot of chocolate, unfortunately. If you’re not careful you’ll gain weight, just by people saying thank you. And it’s been very unique and you know very pleasant love it and love looking forward to every day.
