Enriching the Lives of our Residents

Residents of The Village of Bedford Walk gather for an informal social hour.

The Village of Bedford Walk prides itself on providing and facilitating an active lifestyle for individuals 55 and better who are looking to grow, learn and live life their way. Studies show that socially connected seniors are happier and healthier than their peers who are more isolated. At The Village of Bedford Walk, we aim to improve residents’ quality of life by setting up healthy initiatives and socialization opportunities that occur on a weekly basis at home and throughout the Columbia and surrounding areas.

Partnerships with local universities, including Stephens College and the University of Missouri, allow for diverse and stimulating programs and events for our residents—whether they grew up in Columbia, Missouri, or have recently relocated to this location to be closer to family and friends.

Recent activities enjoyed by our residents have included wine tastings, MU health seminars, musical recitals, day trips and excursions to shows, dinner clubs, game nights, holiday parties, fitness classes, volunteer opportunities with local charities and so much more. Residents are also encouraged to organize their own events with each other, and to submit ideas for events to be incorporated into the monthly event calendar. At The Village of Bedford Walk, residents are the top priority. With our ever-growing opportunities for enriching events and social gatherings, we hope to give our residents happier, longer and fuller lives.
