Bittersweet Garden Club’s Annual Garden Event
This weekend venture south to the Missouri State Capital, Jefferson City, for the 16th Annual Bittersweet Garden Club’s Garden Tour. Sunday, June 28th is packed with activities, demonstrations and gardening lectures. Tour the city’s FIVE most beautiful gardens and turn your black thumb GREEN.
The Bittersweet Garden Club was founded in June 1973. In affiliation with the National Garden Club and the Federated Garden Club of Missouri, the Bittersweet Garden club dedicates their time and knowledge to preserving the beautiful grounds and gardens of the capital city. Club members are gardening enthusiasts and educators from all around the Mid-Missouri area. “The objectives of our club are to study the basic art of gardening, to encourage conservation of natural resources and to cooperate with other clubs and agencies interested in horticulture and conservation,” said the club’s president. “We love talking about our gardens with anyone who we can engage in a conversation.”
