The Village of Bedford Walk Celebrates July 4th
Ray Charles’ rendition of “America the Beautiful” played over the speakers as residents began to line up to serve themselves some BBQ, courtesy of Sara Fougere Catering. The Village of Bedford Walk’s Fourth of July party was in full swing. With BBQ brisket, chicken kabobs, mac and cheese, potatoes and more filling their plates, residents sat together in the Wisteria Room awaiting the showing of “A Capitol Fourth”.
John Stamos hosted the show as the residents congregated together and finished each song with a cheer and a round of applause. While many residents decided to go home after the performance, a handful of residents went up to the third floor for fireworks, blueberry lemonade and watermelon.
Once upstairs, residents sat out on the balcony with patriotic music playing in the background and glow-necklaces and halos lighting up their faces. Although there was not too much to see at first, by about 9:15 p.m., fireworks filled the horizon. With friends, food and fireworks galore, it turned out to be a picture perfect Fourth of July night.
