The Village of Bedford Walk: Construction Continues

In The Village of Bedford Walk

If you have been near southern Columbia lately you may have noticed the beautiful building on the southwest corner of Nifong and Bethel.  It is, of course, The Village of Bedford Walk multi-story that you are viewing.   Change is a necessary part of life and construction brings new opportunities to a city. In the case of The Village of Bedford Walk, we are presenting Columbia with a 55 and older adult living environment like no other in the city. This unique and special place will boast a resistance pool, hot tub, fitness room, locker rooms, game/billiard room, movie theatre, sundry shop, hair salon and much more. The monthly rental cost includes one meal a day, all the above amenities and all utilities. Yes we said ALL!

Today the brick and stone exterior are near completion and the third floor is dry walled with lighting installed. The cabinets and flooring are currently being installed on the second  and third floors. For those of you interested in viewing a unit in this building we will be offering tours of unit 109, beginning mid-January. This is a one bedroom, one bath unit that will be completely finished for viewings.

The Villas are always open for a tour and we have two different options on display. You can find the leasing team ready to answer questions in unit 406 or you can call (573) 303-7252.

Life at the Village of Bedford Walk has begun with five Villas occupied and several more move-ins planned over the next month.  Many of our new residents will be new to the Columbia area and  excited to learn and explore the great city of Columbia for the first time. Kiplinger boasted “Columbia’s hospitals are top-rated and offer rehab facilities as well as geriatric and other specialty services. The Milken Institute’s 2014 survey of “Best Cities for Successful Aging” ranks Columbia third for small metropolitan areas, largely because of its outstanding health care services and job opportunities for older residents.”

Rusty Waibel, Superintendent of construction says, “the community will be ready for total move in by June 1st 2016.” Rusty is a master carpenter by trade and he has always enjoyed constructing large buildings, managing projects, introducing new tradesmen to, and finishing a project.

Columbia is a proud city, with much to offer, but there is always room for more innovation, more construction and new ideas. Stop by and see what all the commotion and buzz is about. We are proud to show you The Village Of Bedford Walk . You will be so amazed and impressed, you might just find your new home.
