Celebrate Independence Day in Downtown Columbia
“Let the rockets’ red glare!” Join fellow Columbians in downtown Columbia on Saturday, July 4th to celebrate this beautiful nation we call home. Coordinated by the City of Columbia’s Parks and Recreation Department, Fire in the Sky has dazzled Columbians for 64 years. Choreographed to patriotic music simulcast live on BXR 102.3, Columbia’s Fireworks display begins at 9:15 pm after sunset.
This year the City of Columbia has expanded their festivities to include children’s activities and entertainment prior to the fireworks display. Beginning at 6:30 pm games, face painting and delicious concessions will be on hand.
