2017 Cruise Ship Week
Continuing with tradition, The Village of Bedford Walk residents sailed away on their annual “cruise” this summer through several cities across the globe. This year’s Cruise Ship Week ran from July 16 to July 21. Activities Coordinator, Laura Roeder, based each day of the week off of a different cruise destination including Key West, Florida; Berlin, Germany; Dublin, Ireland; Barcelona, Spain and Florence, Italy.
There were multiple themed activities and events each day to coincide with the day’s destination. Some of the week’s events included water aerobics Key West style, paper flowers and boat crafts, an island party, movie nights, a golf party and a special Captain’s Cocktail Hour and Dinner to end the week. Each event had flare from the destination ranging from bagpipes in Dublin to canvas painting with Italian wine in Florence.
Beth McMillan, resident of The Village of Bedford Walk, loved the Cruise Ship Week event. “All of us residents have so much fun during Cruise Ship Week. My favorite part was the Captain’s Dinner at the end of the week. It was so fun to dress up with all of my friends here at The Village of Bedford Walk!” Beth said.
Based on the smiles and laughs of all of the residents throughout the week, it was clear that the event was definitely a success.
